About Us
Dr. Mohamed Elhamamsy
Dr. Mohamed Elhamamsy DMD believes in treating his patients as a whole and implementing healthy, sustainable practices to achieve the best possible outcomes. He will ease any anxiety and apprehension to provide patients the dental care they truly need and deserve. Dr. Elhamamsy specializes in SMART removal and restorative dentistry.
Dr. Elhamamsy graduated dental school in 2011 from Alexandria University. Following University, he went on to graduate with high honors from the Advanced Standing Program at Boston University’s Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Elhamamsy ranked 3rd in his graduating class and was formally recognized by Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society (OKU). Dr. Elhamamsy is also a member of and received his certification for mercury-safe filling removal from IAOMT.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Elhamamsy enjoys the outdoors, and especially loves the beaches Rhode Island has to offer. In his spare time Dr. Elhamamsy enjoys cooking new recipes for his family to try.
Ashlyn Barry
Dental Assistant
Ashlyn obtained her Bachelor of Arts in biology from Salve Regina University. She has also received certifications and training in several areas, including:
- CPR certification
- Spear Study Club
- SDS Study Club
- IAOMT
Patients love Ashlyn’s ability to connect with them. She has a calm disposition which helps individuals feel comfortable and safe under our care. Ashlyn enjoys learning about our patients and becoming an active part of their wellness journey.
When Ashlyn isn’t at the office, she enjoys art, hiking, dog training, and horseback riding. She also participates in charity work with Gates of Harmony, an equine therapy program.
Ashlyn currently resides on a beautiful horse farm in South County, RI with her two dogs, Koda and Winston.
Sandra Bernal
Dental Assistant
Sandra joined our practice in 2019 after attending Norwalk Community College. She has received special accreditations and certifications in the following areas:
- IAOMT
- SDS Study Club
- CEREC®
- Ozone
- CPR
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (ASCP)
- DANB Certified Dental Assistant
She’s also a member of the American Society for Clinical Pathology, and she frequently donates her time and energy to Give Kids a Smile Day – a charity that provides oral healthcare and free screenings to young patients.
Our patients trust Sandra because she takes time to answer all of their questions. She brings a positive energy to our office that lets everyone know they’re in good hands.
Sandra is originally from Columbia but came to the United States at a young age. When she isn’t working, you can find her cooking, traveling, working out, doing buti yoga, dancing, and bike riding. She enjoys spending time with her family and her two dogs, Caramelo and Yasmin.
